A DAY AT PIEGA: MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SOUND

By Thaissa Neves

BUILT BY HAND, GUIDED BY EXPERIENCE

Behind every PIEGA loudspeaker is a team of specialists who build by hand. In our factory, precision is personal. Each speaker passes through experienced hands before it is complete. Every step, from checking the aluminum cabinet to installing the drivers and ribbon system, relies on skill, consistency, and an eye for detail that only comes with years of practice. It is this combination of experience and care that gives every PIEGA its distinctive sound and finish.

CRAFTSMANSHIP IN PRACTICE

Assembling a loudspeaker at PIEGA begins long before the first screw is turned. Each model follows a detailed work instruction, a written plan that defines every step of the manual production process. It ensures consistency and documents every improvement as materials and methods evolve over time.

Before assembly starts, the workspace is prepared, deliveries are checked, and all components are organized. For an individual Coax 611, one of PIEGA’s core models featuring our ribbon technology, the entire process takes about four hours. Many hands are involved along the way, each responsible for a specific part or quality check before the loudspeaker is complete.

At the workbench, Marcel focuses on precision. He is part of our craftsmanship team, where every movement is guided by experience and care. His routine follows a steady rhythm: measure, align, check, adjust. Nothing is rushed. He feels the surface of the aluminum cabinet before moving on to the next step.

“Working with your hands gives you a connection to the product that no machine can replace,” says Marcel. “You see the result of your work immediately, and that is what keeps me motivated every day.”

There is also a lighter side to the job. “You can save on a gym membership, our loudspeakers are heavy,” he says with a smile. Some models, like the Master Line Source 3, stand nearly as tall as he does and weigh up to 65 kilograms. “Finally, a loudspeaker that is as tall as me,” he adds.

Before a loudspeaker leaves the building, it goes through final quality control. Each one is carefully tested and played in to ensure it meets PIEGA’s standards. For the team, this final step is both responsibility and reward. It means they can always listen to great music while they work, but more importantly, it confirms that every detail is exactly as it should be.

FROM OUR HANDS TO YOUR HOME

Every finished loudspeaker reflects this shared commitment. It comes from people who take pride in their work and in the sound that leaves the factory. For them, craftsmanship is not only a process but a responsibility.

When a PIEGA loudspeaker fills your room with sound, it carries more than technology inside. It carries the experience, focus, and dedication of the people who built it. It is a connection between precision and passion that becomes part of every listening moment.
