Our newly launched COAX Gen2 Series now has a sophisticated touch of special personalisation: with COAX EXCELLENCE we offer you the experience of individualised colours to choose from for your speakers. In this collaboration between PIEGA and a Swiss anodising company, we anodise the aluminium so that it shines exactly like it sounds.

This attention to detail in aesthetics is matched by cutting-edge technical innovations in the COAX Gen2 Series, which has significantly improved the sound level and introduced the new C112+ or C212+ coaxial ribbons. Continuing this tradition of excellence, the COAX Gen2 line showcases four exceptional speakers: COAX 811, COAX 611, COAX 411 and Center 211. The improved coaxial ribbon drivers feature an updated solid metal containing ferrite panel, reinforced with additional cross-bracing and a centre bridge. This design modification creates room above the tweeter for an extra neodymium magnet, further enhancing efficiency.

The possibility of individualising colours applies to our remarkable products from the COAX Gen2 Series. We offer you the opportunity to customise your speakers from an exclusive range of 8 anodised colours, featuring Sandalor, Bausilber, Bronze, Colinal, Permagreen, and Permalux.

Our meticulous anodising technique entails submerging the speakers in an acid bath, resulting in the formation of a resilient oxide layer that delivers a superb finish in various colours. The anodised colour renders aluminium components exceptionally durable and resistant to environmental wear and tear. Unlike alternative coatings, anodising preserves the original material’s metallic integrity and character.

In this electrochemical process, the speaker undergoes multiple stages until the colours are fully infused. This journey comprises degreasing, pickling, decapitating, anodising, dyeing, compacting and, finally, drying. Anodising presents the added benefit of being colourable, offering a range of design choices while ensuring longlasting vibrancy. Among various options, our speakers utilise coloured anodising for architectural purposes, providing the advantage of resistance to light-induced discolouration and a greater variety of colours.
