The Coax loudspeakers are a unique combination of intelligent designs with the know-how required for outstanding music reproduction. This blog post aims to show you what is needed to build a state of the art loudspeaker.

FUNCTIONALITY AND PURPOSE OF EACH INDIVIDUAL COMPONENT

THE COAXIAL MIDRANGE TWEETER RIBBON

The wafer-thin and weightless aluminium membrane makes up the core of the sound producing section of the loudspeaker. This moves under tension on the carrier in an ultra strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets. The membrane is also controlled by the damping system. The production of the membrane requires painstaking workmanship.

THE ALUMINIUM CABINET

The acoustically perfect aluminium cabinet is also reinforced with the TIM (Tension Improve Module). These modules keep the entire cabinet under a controlled tension, thus suppressing even the smallest cabinet vibrations. The result is a resonance-free cabinet – “Solid as a rock”. Only the membranes produce sound while the cabinet itself stays still and free of vibration.

THE CABLING AND FREQUENCY CROSSOVER

Only PIEGA’s own special cables are used to ensure perfect signal transfer. The complex frequency crossover merges the signals of the individual drivers into a homogeneous sound and a harmonious musical experience. Musical harmony masterfully handcrafted.

THE BASS DRIVERS

Stable aluminium cast baskets provide the foundation for the ultra rigid membranes, the magnetic drive and the entire suspension. The explosive dynamics, peerless precision and an unbelievable bandwidth captivate the heart of any music lover.
